** Due to the popularity of the Welsh Boiler Scrappage Scheme all available vouchers have now been issued and the scheme has now been closed to new applications. **
The Boiler Scrappage Scheme expects to provide up to 5000 eligible homeowners (freehold or with a leasehold interest of at least 21 years) in Wales with a £500 voucher towards the cost of replacing a working G rated boiler with an A rated (or equivalent) boiler or a renewable heat microgeneration technology.
Eligibility for the scheme is homeowners (freehold or with a leasehold interest of at least 21 years), over 60 replacing a working G rated boiler with an A rated (or equivalent) boiler or a renewable heat microgeneration technology.
The Partial Grant Voucher Scheme provides a voucher up to £500 towards the costs of installing a heating system or replacing / repairing a broken heating system. It can also be used towards the costs of insulation measures - wall insulation, loft insulation and draught proofing.
Eligibility for the scheme is homeowners (freehold or with a leasehold interest of at least 21 years) over 60 and if redeeming against heating works - with a broken heating system or no heating system.
Please note that return applicants for the partial grant scheme will have previous spend deducted from the value of the voucher and it is therefore the responsibility of the installer to check the value printed on the voucher.
You can register to work on both schemes, but must apply for each scheme separately. Both schemes are managed by Eaga on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government.
Your registration will last for 12 months. If you redeem a voucher within 12 months your registration will automatically renew for a further 12 months from the date of redemption. If you do not redeem a voucher within 12 months your registration will expire and you will need to contact the Installer Management Team to renew your registration.
